Yuwie makes money through online advertising and then pays their members from their earnings. The amount you can make is based on a referral and profile view / month basis. What that means, is that you make money from people who sign up for Yuwie through your special link. The idea is to get enough referrals that you can build a team and work with your referrals to help them do the same. Once you have referrals three or four levels deep, your team begins to grow on it's own without any efforts from you!

What is page views and how is it calculated?

Whoever views any of the following pages, one page view and is credited to your account:

Your Yuwie profile.
Your Blogs page.
Your Friends list page.
All your comments
Your Pictures / Albums.
If someone views one of your shared layouts

Your own page views on any of the following pages also counts as one page view and is credited to your account:

Any of your control panel pages, including but not limited to your: settings, messaging, friends, referrals, favorites, etc.

The following does not count as a page view:

Refreshing/reloading a page
Any page that's viewed within 3 seconds of the last page doesn't count

I would recommend you spend at least ten seconds on each page that you view or visit. Total and daily counts of page views can be seen on your control panel.

RSR x (Page Views/1000) x Level Percentage = Your Earnings

Finally, let's put this all together into a monetary sense. The chart below is taken from the help section of Yuwie, showing how much they predicted a person might make when they first started the site around the first of July. The 'pay out' number was a speculated RSR number of $0.50 and it shows that a person could make some really good money if they stick to making Yuwie work for them.
